A deep connection to creativity has shaped Linda’s journey, offering a path that is both challenging and profoundly fulfilling.
Her enthusiasm for pastel painting stems from the medium’s immediacy, vibrancy, and versatility. Its translucent layers of colour continue to inspire her, revealing endless possibilities in the portrayal of light—its atmosphere, luminosity, and shifting hues. As a quiet observer immersed in nature’s beauty, Linda draws on emotional responses and a desire to share them. Each work aims to capture a moment in time and convey a sense of appreciation to those who engage with her paintings.
In contrast, Linda’s explorations in acrylic and oil on canvas unfold in a spontaneous, playful manner. These pieces are liberating and joyful, driven by her enduring passion for colour and discovery.
Since presenting her first solo exhibition in 2004, Linda has gone on to hold twelve additional solo exhibitions and participate in numerous joint shows alongside inspiring fellow creatives. Each exhibition brings the vulnerable exposure of the inner self, stirring a blend of anxiety, satisfaction, and the pleasure of achievement.

Janine is currently a semi-retired geologist who loves spending her spare time creating art. She grew up in Brighton, Victoria, and after many years living and working in remote outback areas, finally settled in Perth, WA.
Janine's art to date is mostly acrylic/mixed media paintings using bold, bright colours and patterns. More recently she has been creating digital artwork on the computer where paintings are either created from scratch or manipulated from photos or her original artwork to create new pieces of art.
As a geologist, her work is very structured and exact, which is in direct contrast to her art work which is quite random and free.

Elaine was born in the small farming town of Tambellup, WA in 1936. She was a prolific water colour painter, painting at every opportunity. During her 52 year stay in Kalamunda her husband estimates that she painted in excess of 1,000 paintings. Elaine also taught at Mary’s Mount School in Gooseberry Hill. Elaine met up with fellow artists (Anne Silverton, Helen Sounness and Jean McDiamid) several times a week. where they visited numerous locations seeking out subjects of interest to paint: ‘anything falling down or rusting away, very old homes and places with atmosphere like bush fires, water, mist and smoke. She painted old houses, trees, bush scenes and landscapes of Kalamunda and surrounds, including Swan Valley vineyards, Swan River, hills, beaches, and views of Perth from Maylands.

Eli was born in 1922 in Riga, Latvia and at age 14 emigrated to South Africa. After leaving school he servied in the South African Army in the Medical Corp and was captured in Tobruk where he was a prisoner of war in Italy and Germany. There in Stalag IVB he met another British artist He was Eli’s first art teacher and told Eli he should take it up as a profession. After returning to South Africa on 1946, he studied art and decided to make his living from art. In Johannesburg he did portrait sketches at East Gate shopping centre. Eli came to Perth in 1992 and continued doing portraits; ten years at the weekend markets at WA Art Gallery, Wanneroo Market and various other locations. To supplement his income he painted sketches of Perth and surrounds, flowers and other art. It is estimated that he drew over 15,000 portraits over his lifetime. Eli passed away in 2013.
